HTML & JavaScript Quiz

For this project, I focused on enhancing both the design and functionality of my quiz. I began by improving the visual elements, adding a soft gray background for a cleaner look, and applying a lightning blue color to captions and important text for thematic consistency. Typography adjustments, including enlarging the quiz title and increasing font sizes for text areas and solution labels, improved readability and emphasized key elements. I also added thoughtful padding to create a more spacious layout and adjusted the table and form styling to make the quiz more visually appealing and user-friendly.

On the functional side, I implemented playful and thematic feedback messages to increase engagement, such as “You’ve Been Thunderstruck! ⚡” for the end of the quiz and “Off the Post! Give it another shot.” for incorrect answers. I also enhanced the navigation buttons with emojis to reinforce the theme. Structurally, I improved the HTML by adding proper character encoding, moving styling into a style block, and inserting spacing elements for clarity. Additionally, I customized the quiz content to focus entirely on Tampa Bay Lightning hockey trivia, expanding it to 10 questions with unique compliments, which made the experience more immersive and personalized. This project taught me how small design and functional changes can greatly enhance user engagement while strengthening my technical and problem-solving skills.
